Moonlight 3

Unfortunately, against everything I tried – Moonlight 3 will be pushed back 3 days. The release date will be the 27th.

I have a few chapters I need to re-work and I don’t feel comfortable releasing it the way it is. I’d rather do this right than rushed! I owe you guys that. So forgive my lateness – Here’s another teaser to help. 😀

He walked across the lobby in four easy steps, looking as if he would lift me in an embrace but stopped short just inches from me. I could feel the heat roll off him and memories of Warren ravaging my body came flooding back. I tried to slow my breathing but I recognized Warren’s eyes filling with heat.

“Melanie,” he said confidently, his eyes glittering with humor. He knew exactly what he was doing to me and was enjoying it.

I frowned at him.

“If you want to do lunch, let’s go.” I spun on my heels and began walking out of the lobby. I heard him chuckling behind me.

I got about half a block down the road before I realized he wasn’t next to me. I turned around and caught him staring at my ass from a few feet away. He looked up at me smiling, making no attempt to hide what he was doing. His eyes seemed to penetrate through me as he grazed my body with a look of a hunger.

“Warren Brown!” I knew what I looked like – standing there with my one hand on my hips and pointing my finger at him. He caught up to me and cocked his head to the side, looking at me curiously.

“What Ms. King?” he said smiling.

“You need to stop that.”

“Stop what?” He looked like he was struggling not to laugh.

“You know what I’m talking about,” I said through clenched teeth, growing more aggravated.

“No, I don’t. Please tell me Ms. King, what would you like me to stop?”

“Stop – stop – stop this” I waved my hand up and down at him, flustered at my lack of words.

“It’s a good thing you’re leaving the actual journalism part to Craig.”

“Very funny.”

“Do you know where you’re going?” he asked.

I felt my face fall. I took a deep breath before answering, trying to sound calm. “No, I don’t.”

“Well, there’s a little sidewalk café just a block from here.” He pointed down the street behind me. “Shall we?” He held his hand out, showing the way.

“Don’t walk behind me,” I remarked before we starting walking down the street.

He shook his head. “Wasn’t planning on it. Besides, I have every inch of you memorized in here,” he said as he pointed to his head.
